What is Discover Scuba Diving Course

DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING COURSE DESCRIPTION

Unlike full scuba diving certification courses, the Discover Scuba Diving course does not require participants to have any prior scuba diving experience or certification. It is open to beginners.
Participants receive a basic introduction to scuba diving equipment, including the use of a mask, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device (BCD), and a scuba tank, and
Before entering the water, participants typically receive a brief orientation on basic scuba diving principles, safety guidelines, and communication signals. The course usually includes a confined water session, which takes place in a controlled environment such as a swimming pool or calm shallow waters. In this session, participants practice fundamental scuba skills under the guidance of a certified instructor, participants have the opportunity to go on a supervised open water dive in an actual dive site, such as a shallow bay or easy-entry location. This allows them to experience the underwater environment and observe marine life.
The Discover Scuba Diving course is a one-time experience and does not lead to a scuba diving certification. It is meant to provide individuals with a taste of scuba diving and help them decide if they want to pursue further training.
The minimum age for participation in a Discover Scuba Diving course is typically around 10 years old.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Anyone who wants to try Scuba Diving and either doesn't have the time is unsure about committing to the full Open Water Course. This is a great first step toward developing solid Scuba Diving skills.
